These are self extracting zip files. After downloading, copy xl-demos.exe for Excel 5.0 or higher, or 123demos.exe for Lotus 1-2-3 5.0 or higher into a new subdirectory. Double click on the file. It will unzip leaving worksheets to be opened after entering Excel or 1-2-3. The worksheets have brief HELP menu's to get help in their use.

LOTUS 1-2-3 RELEASE 5 FOR WINDOWS - 123demos.exe

There's an operating statement and an IRR/FMRR/NPV worksheet for use in 1-2-3. To use, enter 1-2-3 first. Once in 1-2-3, do a FILE OPEN. Next double-click on the directory to which you downloaded the file. After the double-click, the file name APOD.WK4 will appear in the file list. Double-click the file name and you're off and running. The MENU has an "Instructions" choice.

EXCEL VERSION 5.0 or 7.0 - xl-demos.exe

XL-DEMOS.EXE is a self-extracting zip file that contains an operating statement and a worksheet for calculating the Internal Rate of Return, the Financial Management Rate of Return and the Present Value of a series of cash flows. After saving to your drive or disk, double click on it and the XLS files and the XLM file will unzip. To use the worksheet, ENTER EXCEL FIRST. From there do a FILE OPEN on the APOD_P.XLS.

SAVING EITHER FILE

To save using Netscape, HOLD SHIFT KEY DOWN and click on the file desired. The other way is to click on the file with the right button and then "Save this link as".
